Cabinet Refinishing and Repainting FAQs

How do you quote?

If you have a tape measure we can usually provide a preliminary quote after a few WhatsApp messages.

If your space and needs are a bit complicated don’t stress, we can arrange a quick visit.

We will need to arrange a site visit to finalise a quote, but strive to not waste anymore of your time than necessary while you’re shopping for a service.

What is the process?

For the average size kitchen you’ll only be eating takeaway for a couple days.

PHASE 1: We’ll to come remove all the doors and drawer faces that need repainting. We’ll bring them back to our facility to prep and apply professional grade 2k-Polyurethane based paints*. They’ll have to sit at our workshop for 5-7 working days to ensure proper application and curing. Unfortunately, the contents of your cupboards will be have to be on display for a few days, but you’ll still be able to cook and leave dirty dishes in the sink.

PHASE 2: Once we’re done refinishing at our facility we will then ask you to box up your pots and pans, cutlery, dishes, etc… for a couple of days. Plan to book a dinner out or order a pizza. We’ll come to mask, prep, and paint the surfaces that can’t be readily removed. This usually takes 2 days, but depending on the size of your kitchen or cabinets it may take a day or two longer. On the last day we’ll bring back the drawers and doors to rehang.

PHASE 3: Enjoy your newly refreshed kitchen!

* What is a 2k Paint? The paints we use are closer to automotive finishes than the type you would put on walls and thus much more durable and hardwearing.

How much does it cost?

The general rule of thumb is £100 per door and £70 per drawer. This will include the cost of painting end panels and cabinet face frames onsite, but will not cover respraying the inside of a cabinet.
